单丁基三异辛酸锡为淡黄色透明液体，能溶于大多数有机溶剂，不溶于水。其是一类抗水解且加入量少、催化活性高的酯化催化剂，主要用于反应温度为 210~ 240″c的酯化和缩聚反应，高反应温度可达250c。催化剂呈中性，对设备无腐蚀作用。反应完毕后，无需分离出来，不影响终产品质量。
